Women’s football welcomes eastern Illinois on Alumni Day
CHICAGO – DePaul Women’s Football will host Eastern Illinois on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for Alumni Day. The Blue Demons (2-5) are looking to end a four-game losing streak in Saturday’s non-conference final. Former students present are encouraged to attend a special reception organized under the ‘L’ slopes from 1:00 am. Alumni can receive up to five free tickets by submitting their RSVP here.
The Blue Demons and Panthers meet for the eighth time in program history and for the first time since 2006. DePaul and Eastern Michigan fought to a 1-1 draw in the last game. After the non-conference game, the Blue Demons open the BIG EAST schedule with a road clash against St. John’s on Sunday, September 26th.
DePaul has been held scoreless against four quality non-conference opponents over the past three weeks. Milwaukee, Michigan, Loyola and Northwestern combined to post an overall record of 19-6-2 at the start of the 2021 season. Michigan, which outscored DePaul 1-0 on September 5, is ranked No. 1.21 in the country.

Graduate student Morgan turner led the Blue Demon offense this fall, scoring three goals, a team-high. Turner has 25 career goals as a Blue Demon and is two goals away from making the all-time top five in DePaul women’s football history. Turner scored twice in DePaul’s last victory, a 3-1 win over UIC on August 29. Turner was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team following the 2020-21 campaign. Turner took first-team honors after a 10-goal outing in the Blue Demons’ last full season in 2019.
- The Panthers are 2-4-1 so far this fall and have lost back-to-back games.
- Eastern Illinois defeated opponent Chicago, Chicago State, 1-0 on September 3.
- The Panthers are 0-2-1 on the road so far this season.
- Head Coach Jake Plant is entering his fourth season at the helm of the Panthers program.
