The COSM announces the incoming class for the 2022 season

STORRS, Connecticut- Head coach Chris Gbandi has announced the addition of 13 players, including 10 freshmen and three transfers for the 2022 season.

In his first offseason as Huskies head coach, Chris Gbandi immediately got to work rebuilding the UConn roster. After losing eight players at graduation, Coach Gbandi would look to fill the holes left by those players in a variety of ways.

The incoming class includes eight players coming to UConn from outside the United States. The Huskies will have athletes from England, Denmark, Cyprus, Quebec, Germany, Haiti and Spain.

The remaining five players hail from the East Coast, with three reigning players from New Jersey, one from Massachusetts and one from Connecticut.

“We are very excited to welcome our class of 2022 to Storrs. This is a class that we believe will have a huge impact within our group, both on the pitch and in the classroom. I would like to thank the coach Fahey and coach Omsberg (recruitment coordinator) for their hard work in putting this class together,” said Gbandi.
