Noozhawk’s ParentNooz Camp Guide is finally here, and we’ve provided the information needed to help parents and their children decide which programs are best for them this summer!

To do this, Noozhawk conducted a series of interviews with local program representatives for this year’s Summer Camp Guide.

In this interview, Noozhawk sat down with Jeff Johnson, both founder and camp director. soccer schools to find out more about the summer sessions they are offering this year.

A: Our camp offers an innovative, challenging and enjoyable (fun) program designed to support the modern football athlete in their quest to become an elite and best football player possible. These positive tools are the building blocks of our “Fail Your Way to Success” philosophy and are crucial to the growth, development and overall success of individual players on and off the pitch!

Q: How many years has the camp existed? Do you have any professional accreditations or certifications?

A: a. Football schools have been around for 23 years. Coaches have USSF and UEFA licenses and have played at club, collegiate or professional level.

Q: What protocols does your camp have in place due to COVID-19?

A: The camp is outdoors and all county guidelines are being followed.

Q: What goals do you have for the children who attend your camp or program?

A: Our youth program is innovative, challenging and FUN. This is ideal for the all-around modern player, focusing on the technical and creative aspects of the game, as well as decision-making and overall football IQ (tactical awareness).

Q: Describe a typical day for a child attending your camp or program.

A: As part of that. Soccer school package, all players receive one. Football school uniform, which includes one jersey and another. Football schools soccer ball. Camp schedules may include the following topics: soccer, goal scoring, speed, agility, technique, dribbling, possession and transition games, foot volleyball, small games, nutrition and yoga.

Q: What is the staff to child ratio? Do you need training or background checks on your employees?

A: All coaches undergo and must pass a background check and a risk management check.

Q: What do you think is the best part of your camp or program?

A: Camps offer trust, confidence, knowledge and security. Our camps teach players technical skills, tactical awareness, confidence and teamwork. At one., we know our players are the future of soccer and we pride ourselves on providing a fun and safe training environment. Our staff have been handpicked for their experience, knowledge, passion, enthusiasm and ability to teach young players.

Q: How educational is your camp or program?

A: There is no way a player can leave this program without improving a ton, having a better understanding of the overall game in attack or defense and a higher level of confidence both as a football player and being human seeking to be a CHAMPION in all facets. of life! We create an environment where players learn, improve and ultimately have fun!

Q: What is the age and price range of your camp? Do you offer scholarships? *

A:

  • Residential camps for outfield players and goalkeepers (5 and 10 day camps) for 9 to 18 year olds.
  • 5 day camps: 19/6-23/6, 24/6-28/6, 10/7-14/7, 15/7-19/7.
  • 10-day camps: 19/06-28/06, 10/07-19/07. Price ranges: $799 to $1,899.
  • Location: Cate School, 1960 Cate Mesa Rd., Carpinteria.
  • Elite day camps for outfield players and goalkeepers. Camps are available for ages (Jetts: 3-4), (Juniors: 5-8) and (Premier: 9-16) with half or full day options.
